It’s the final Farmers Market of 2016! Come and join us beneath our sparkling new Main Street lights between 9am and 1pm this Saturday and join in the fun!
Santa Claus will be joining us from 10am-12pm. His grotto will be in the community centre and he’ll be bringing special treats for all boys and girls who have been good this year. A visit to the grotto is by donation.
There will be festive carol singing from the children of Dean Park Primary School and Balerno High School. And even more entertainment provided by the singers of Balerno Parish Church and the Scots Music Group. Bring your best singing voice and join in.
There will also be delicious mulled apple juice, roasted chestnuts and a raffle on the BVT stall for a wonderful Villeroy and Bosh Christmas house (see pic below). After a wander round the market you can also enjoy the Christmas Tree Festival which is taking place in St Josephs Hall this weekend. And don’t forget, if you have pre-ordered your Caring Christmas tree to come along to pick it up on Saturday. Community Enterprise will be in attendance also to discuss the results of the recent village consultation.
And obviously on top of all this no market would be complete without our amazing stallholders who this Saturday will be competing for the title of Best Christmas Hat. What a line up there is this month. Come along on Saturday and enjoy shopping for fresh fruit, breads, fish, cheese and meats as well as hot street food, coffee, great Christmas gifts and handmade crafts. Market Square is going to be busy!!
