Farmers Market and BBQ, Saturday 11th June

It’s almost market day again and this Saturday we have another great market lined up for you.

Of course we’ll have a great selection of fantastic stall holders with a selection of fresh fruit and veg, cheeses, bread, meat, fish and much more. We’ll also be hosting a barbecue this Saturday so come along for a tasty mid morning burger. And around 1230 the winners of the Balerno Farmers Market Scarecrow Trail will be announced. If you haven’t voted yet there is still time, click here to vote for your favourite Scarecrow.

Balerno Music Festival will also be at the market selling early-bird tickets for their great event in October.  The market is open from 9am to 1pm on Saturday. Come down and support your local community market, buy some goodies and meet your friends.

Friends of Main Street will be gardening in the Main Street flower bed as they always do on market day and volunteers are most welcome. A delivery of bedding plants are expected to be delivered just before the market and any help planting these in their new beds and boxes would be very welcomed. You don’t need experience, just a sturdy pair of shoes and a good attitude. All gardening tools are supplied. Come along for the whole morning or even just an hour, the Friends of Main Street would really welcome your support. All ages warmly welcomed.
