Deadline: Contribute towards the initial design of Ravelrig Walled Garden by Tuesday 16th June!

If you were at the BVT Open Evening, May 27th 2015, you will already have heard from our garden designer Tracy McQue, of McQue Garden Designs, about our current suggestions and our plea for input from you ASAP! We want to thank those who enjoyed participating in the discussion that followed. Links to the Survey, initial design briefs and Pinterest board are provided at the end of this post.

Incase you were unable to attend the evening, this particular project has been earmarked by the BVT as a key project for the year ahead, 2015/16, and we are keen progress with funding applications/collaboration. However, before we complete these we need your support and input in order to confirm a design proposal that we’re confident best suits the wishes of our community, for what will be our Balerno community garden!

In order to get to this next stage we have set a deadline for the creation of an Initial Design, to be displayed on a special stall at the July Farmers Market, Saturday 11th July 9-1pm.

NOTE: If you wish to provide your input towards this initial design an have not yet done so we need to hear from you by close Tuesday 16th June. (This deadline has been set in order to allow our designer to create an initial proposal ready for the market.)

  • To input ideas in person, please contact us either via Email: officebvt@gmail.com / Via our contact form / or Phone: 0131 477 7788 ext 156 (Mon-Thur).
  • You are also invited to complete the Balerno Community Consultation (there is a dedicated question on this project). The results of the survey will directly feed into this initial design. To complete the consultation, click here.
  • Alternatively, if you would simply like to indicate your interest and get updates on the project as it progresses, please sign up to our mailing list and indicate your interest in the ‘Walled Garden’ within the sign-up form, click here.
